Why do I need a Professional Organizer?

The organizing process can be very intimidating and stressful if you don’t approach it the right way. Often people attempt to get organized on their own and feel like they are not making any progress and that the job is impossible. I will design a plan to get us through all the steps of the organizing process, help guide you thorough the difficult decisions, and help to keep the process moving quickly. I will also come up with a plan to help you maintain your new organized way of life.

How long will the organizing process take?

Unfortunately, there is not a one size fits all answer. The length of time depends on the size and scope of the project. I will always start the process by having you fill out a Needs Assessment form so I can see where you need help. After that we will meet for a consultation, which will allow me to really see what is working and not working for you. I will then generate a detailed project outline identifying how long each step of the process will take.

What do I need to do to prepare for this process?

It is important that you are ready and open to change and have a desire to commit to new systems. Before our first visit you will need to complete the material I send you and return it to me 1 week in advance. Keep the stacks of paper in the room, it’s important that I get a real idea of the amount of material we are dealing with and what your current habits are.

How much will this cost?

POSH space offers different rates based on the different services we provide. We work with a wide range of budgets. If your budget is limited we can offer coaching as needed to help guide you through your project on your own. You can also attend one of our workshops to learn more about organizing systems so you can conquer your projects on you own.

What form of payment do you accept?

We accept checks and Visa, American Express, Master Card, and Discover Card. Returned checks will be subject to a $25 return check fee.

I’ve seen the television shows where they organize and completely make over a space in just a few days, can you do that to my space?

That depends on many things, such as the size and scope of the project, your time constraints, and of course the budget. After the consultation we will be able to estimate the time for the project. At the consultation we will also discuss your materials budget for the containers and other supplies we will need.
