Dream Closet – Kathy Griffin

by Angela On July 27, 2012

Kathy Griffin’s shoe closet from Footwear News.

Wow!  This is not at all what I would have expected Kathy Griffin’s closet to look like!  Unfortunately all we can see of Kathy’s closet is her shoes so this week’s The Good, The Bad, and The Reality will be a bit abbreviated.

The Good

The best part of Kathy’s shoe closet is how she displayed her shoes.  Sure it isn’t the most space maximizing way to store shoes, but it certainly is fun and stylish.  It also appears that Kathy has some sort of order in keeping like color shoes and styles together.  She has athletic shoes at the top, black shoes in the middle, and metallic and neutrals on the sides.  Grouping shoes by color or category always makes finding them easier.

The Bad

I hate to say it, but given Kathy’s vibrant personality her closet is pretty lack-luster.  Yes, it’s nice; yes, it has adjustable shelving; yes, it’s probably custom, but it is a tad on the boring side.  The closet color even blends in with the tile floor.  Kathy, if you’re listening, you are way more fun than this!  I hate to even criticize this because we cannot see the entire closet, the rest of the closet could be spectacular!

The Reality

All and all Kathy’s shoe closet is pretty attainable.  You may not have as much space as Kathy has, but if you like this look the components are pretty standard and you could copy this look from just about any closet company. If you have the space remember you can always display your shoes or anything else in your closet in a fun way.

What do you think about Kathy Griffin’s shoe closet? Is it boring or do you like it?
