Dream Closet – Kim Kardashian

Last week at the Closet and Home Organization Conference I learned that the Kim Kardashian’s closet is one of the most popular searched closets!  So naturally, since I like sharing “Dream Closets” with you each week I just had to share this one with you!

The Good

Well who wouldn’t love to have a closet like this one?  With it’s chocolatey colored wood to the glass front cabinets and that amazing chandelier this dream closet has a lot going for it!  I also like how they tucked the long hanging clothes in the corner.  Although in these pictures we can’t see what the island is being used for, you can tell it is large enough to add tons of storage.  Last but not least, just have to say Kim’s hangers are all the same thus giving a more organized and cohesive look.

The Bad

Although this closet does have a nice amount of lighting with the to die for chandelier and recessed lighting the wood finish and floors are so dark they are almost begging for more light.  For Kim’s closet I would add under cabinet lighting.  This would make a huge difference.

I cannot believe there is not a valet rod in this closet and they are hanging that zebra jacket from the hanger of another article of clothing! Adding a simple and inexpensive valet rod will prevent having to hang one garment off another one and potentially damaging you clothing.

The Reality

This is another closet that would cost you more than a pretty penny, but don’t fret there are many ideas you can take from Kim’s closet of closets.  If you are making changes to your closet be sure to include multiple hanging lengths like in this closet.  Kim’s closet has three lengths: short or double hang, medium, and long.  Short hang is ideal for blouses, pants, skirts, and jackets.  Medium hang is idea for short dresses and some coats.  Long hang is typically used for long or formal dresses.

So now you’ve seen it, one of the most searched closets!  Is it everything you dreamed of and more?  If so start working on your own dream closet.

Let me know what you think about Kim’s closet!
