Gone for Good

by Angela On September 23, 2010

Have you ever faced the connundrum of what to do with a treasure you don’t want anymore but is ‘too nice’ to throw or give away?  Maybe Gone For Good, an Austin non-profit organization, is just what you’ve been looking for!

Started earlier this year by local philanthropists Gail Miller and Retta Van Aucken, Gone For Good helps you downsize and declutter by taking your unwanted treasures, selling them, and donating the money (minus a small handling fee) to the Central Texas charity of your choice.  Additionally, all donations are tax-deductable.

Helping your community and simplifying your life with a single call or e-mail? Philanthropy has never been so easy or rewarding!  If you’d like more information, click here to check out their website.

  1. Thanks so very much for this fabulous mention. My Co-director, Gail Miller, and I are thrilled to have such a wonderful referral. We had a call from one of your clients and she has donated a fine, eclectic mix of items for Gone For Good, proceeds from which will go to the Austin Humane Society.
Our blog is just beginning to take shape and yours is certainly an inspiration!
Thanks so much. We’ll stay in touch.
